Helpful Hints

Ways to make your montage as artistic as possible.

Limit the number of large group photos you include.

Group photos of family and friends are often necesssary, but using candid
(unposed) photos and as few group photos as possible makes for a more
   interesting montage.

   Include some extra "optional" photos.
Sometimes after creating the montage with all the photos you absolutely want
to include, we have some "dead space" where another photo or two can be
added. You don't have to include extra photos, but it may be helpful if you do.

   Use original photographs, not copies.

Original photographs will reproduce in a much higher quality than copies will.
If you are uncomfortable sending your original photos, we would prefer that you
scan them to a disc rather than reprint them. Please follow the scanning
instructions on the Instructions page when doing so.

   Choose focal point photos.
Look at some of our samples, and you will see that the most interesting
montages have 1 - 3 photos that are quite larger than the rest. Choose a
few photos that can be the focal point of your montage.
